Have you ever wondered what it would be like to play an online RPG that was in a Final Fantasy style but had a mesh of characters from different games? Well Final Fantasy Sonic X5 is the game for you. This game has a unique story that features Megaman, Link, Sonic, Tales, Knuckles, and others. The games combat system is similar to the super Nintendo entertainment system Final fantasy games.
This games only playable character is Sonic the Hedgehog. In the game you battle as the legendary super sonic. Considering this game is similar to a Final Fantasy you have the traditional choice of choosing either attack or magic.
Sonic has three different magic attacks that include fire, thunder and heal. The game features an overdrive feature that allows super sonic to unleash an onslaught of special attacks when the overdrive meter has been filled. The overdrive meter increases every time Sonic is dealt damage. Among the traditional final fantasy combat controls there is a unique feature called charge. This command allows you to increase your stats as opposed to actually attacking. The stats you can improve are Attack, Defense, and Magic. A good thing about this game is that once you have charged a stat to it’s maximum it does not drop, meaning once you have the highest attack you can achieve you don't have to worry about ever having to charge it again. The same is true for the other stats. The game is only has one fight but it is still pretty fun to play. Along with having a final fantasy themed battle it features final fantasy battle music and graphics. The graphics for the game are of course ripped from previous games, but the actual animation and tying togetherness of the game is great.
